Welcome to Guardian Angels Bird Sanctuary or GABS for short.  In an ideal world, birds would not have to be re-homed.  There would be no such thing as feather plucking or mutilation, no aggression problems or screaming birds.  Everyone who has a bird as a companion or in an aviary would be well educated and know exactly what these wonderful characters need.  Sadly, this is not the case and the few genuine rescue charities are already struggling to cope with the huge numbers being given up for re-homing ever year.  It is getting very difficult for these rescues to find good homes.

We have been working for many years as unpaid volunteers for another rescue and have given a home to several special needs birds, who, for one reason or another, cannot be re-homed to the public and these have become our resident birds.

We have a dedicated team here at GABS, we are all unpaid volunteers and all work tirelessly to help owners with any problems that should arise, from giving advice by telephone, email or in person to finding birds a new family.

There are many ways we can help you.  Please view our pages on the services we give, such as educational talks to schools and clubs, help and advice on bird care and the re-homing of birds.

There are also several ways you can help GABS.  Please look at our other pages on how to become a member, sponsorship of resident birds and fund raising.  You can also follow us on Facebook.
